How To Win Big on Slot Machines and slot machine patterns. A strategy for Casino Slots

Normally at least 85%. Most video slots give you a broader choice as far as betting. Mechanical slots are not any “much less sensible” than the video slots. Do they exist? Not definitely. But individuals nevertheless like the mechanical slots so the fun88 casinos nevertheless have lots of mechanical slot machines. The modern mechanical slot reels are still governed by a pc.

The mechanics of a slot machine

Winning on a slot machine first needs know-how of how they perform. Remember that they have to pay a certain percentage. I propose the latter. While this is correct for each mechanical slots as nicely as video slots, we want to take a critical appear at how “random” they truly are.. If the RNG (random number generator) has lacked the percentage payout over a period of time, it might start off paying higher win amounts in order to attain a percentage threshold. A lot more line choices, distinctive methods of betting and they are much additional entertaining. A slot machine in a casino under state law, (all legal gambling states have laws), are needed to pay out a particular percentage. Consider about this for a minute. So is it definitely totally random? I assume not.

Mechanical Verses Video Slots

“Mechanical slots” are being outnumbered these days by video slots. There is not actually any way to inform if a machine is on a higher payout cycle unless you watch individuals play and see what the machine is doing (that might creep out some men and women even though, so be polite) Or by playing a machine and betting a few smaller amounts and determining the reaction of the pattern. In other words both forms of machines nevertheless have equal payout rules. It is a term often misinterpreted as a broken machine. Most men and women know that a slot machine functions on randomly generated patterns. Initial factors initial right here. I like each, but I have been leaning much more toward the video slots over final few years.

The Myth about “loose” machines

Individuals usually hear about “loose” slot machines. Some casinos in Vegas I have seen promote a 95% payout to draw people in. These aren’t “old” machines. The casino will not spend you if a machine malfunctions.

A “loose” machine in reality applies to a slot machine that is on a higher spend cycle. The casino will make in between 5 and 15 cents of every single dollar spent…..No matter what.

If slot machines were really one hundred% random, the casino itself would be gambling(https://www.fun88no1.com) themselves wondering if their business is going to make cash or have to spend out everything and shut down. There is a explanation that “The House Often Wins”…..State Laws.

Realize now that a slot wants to be programmed to spend out at least 85% of what is put into it

Sports :: How to Win at Betting: Sports Gambling Winning Percentage, What You Need to Know

At the end of the month, the 55-percent handicapper would have gone 83-67 for a gain of 9.3 units, while the 60-percent handicapper would have gone 18-12 for a profit of 4.8 units, so the 55-percent handicapper has made nearly twice as much.

The 55-percent handicapper is using what is commonly referred to as the Wal-Mart Approach, which is to have a lot of volume with the expectation of grinding out a small profit. A winning percentage of 55-percent sure doesn’t sound as sexy as a 60-percent handicapper, but if your volume of plays is high enough, it can certainly be much more profitable.

The only statistic that sports bettors should be concerned with is units won, which is the amount of profit, or loss, they have over time, and not worry nearly as much about winning percentage. And as is the case with the Arkansas-based giant, many times this will be more profitable than being extremely selective and doing a small amount of volume, even if the mark-up is higher.

If somebody were to ask you if you would rather be a 60-percent handicapper or a 55-percent handicapper, which would you choose? The obvious answer is that it’s better to be a 60-percent handicapper, but that isn’t necessarily true.. With baseball season coming back in about 4 months, many sports gamblers will be seeing ads from different sports services claiming winning percentages of 65-percent for baseball, and that’s entirely possibly, but what the services aren’t saying is that the majority of their selections were favorites of -200 or more, turning that 65-percent handicapping into a losing proposition.

Making it more difficult for sports bettors is that some sports services will claim to have won 200 units in a particular sport, but don’t mention that they release 10- or 20-unit plays, along with several 100-unit “locks” at the end of the year if things aren’t going so well and they need something to base next year’s advertising on.

For the bettors that do their own handicapping, however, units won is really the only thing you should be concerned with, as that ultimately is going to translate into the bottom line. In the question above, it would be much better to be a 55-percent handicapper if you were playing 150 games a month, as opposed to a 60-percent handicapper playing one game a day

What They Are, How to Read Them and What to Do With Them by Ed Bagley

174 (56 AA teams are rated better), and their play reflects their rating. Ursinus is not a planet but a real liberal arts college in Pennsylvania.

2) Michigan State, another short end of the stick team for far too long, was rated No. 5 by both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll going into the game. Now you can better understand why La Salle College is ranked last among 242 Division I schools.

7) A total of 242 teams, 119 A schools and 123 AA schools, make up the Sagarin College Football Ratings. La Salle is a Catholic university located in Philadelphia.

6) Temple (ranked No. Instead, it rewards teams that do well against good opponents.

Ursinus College is not a Division 1 school (which includes the 242 teams with La Salle), not a Division II team (which includes another 157 teams), but a Division III team. 2. 36 after steamrolling over UAB 55-18 in its home opener.

3) Appalachian State, a AA school, was rated No. Following its horrendous loss, Michigan ended up being ranked No. Georgia Tech was rated No. The Irish failed to score a touchdown for the first time ever in their home opener.

While betting on sports is only legal in a few places in the United States, such as Las Vegas, millions of office workers are involved in sports pools every week now that the football season has arrived.

A diminishing-returns principle exists to prevent teams from building up ratings by running up large victory margins against weak teams. 31 after hammering Syracuse 42-14 in its home opener.

Anyway, the Sagarin rating is a numerical measure of a team’s strength.

Copyright © 2007 Ed Bagley

Following the first week of college football action, here are some facts that interested me about Sagarin’s first-week ratings:

Michigan was ranked No. 38 following its upset of mighty Michigan 34-32 on Michigan’s home field. 242 La Salle Explorers. The Explorers next job will be to actually win a game. The ratings are updated following each week’s games and published in USA Today on Wednesdays.

You will have to forgive the NCAA for taking titles that have been used for years and are perfectly clear, then renaming them and creating confusion in the process.

Only Division I (both A and AA) are counted for rating and schedule strength during the season.

For those who wager, it may be helpful to put some science on your side when you wager, and one of the best places to do that is with the Sagarin College Football Ratings.

A hypothetical victory margin is determined by comparing the rating of the two teams after adding 2.93 points to the home team. The win was the biggest upset in college football history as no AA team had ever beaten a ranked team.

5) Notre Dame, beaten badly (33-3) by Georgia Tech, was rated No. The worst-rated A school is Florida International at No. 41 by Sagarin following its 23-3 home victory over Virginia.

The Sagarin College Football Ratings: What They Are, How to Read Them and What to Do With Them

 by: Ed Bagley

1) Washington, one of the poor to mediocre teams in the country the last several years, was rated No. 40 by Sagarin.

USA Today, the largest circulation newspaper in the United States, is the nation’s daily newspaper and carries the Sagarin College Football Ratings.

If there is a way for the NCAA to assert its superior power, it does so by making everything more difficult and confusing, similar to your United States government and its IRS tax code which could reduce a sane person to tears just reading it.

The BCS (Bowl Championship Series) does not factor in scoring margin. The worst-rated AA school is the No. Good luck, La Salle, and God speed.

When you know that more than $700 million can be bet on one game–the Super Bowl–in only Las Vegas, then you understand that billions were bet illegally on the Super Bowl last year in the United States and in offshore sports books around the world.

Created by Jeff Sagarin, a 1970 MIT mathematics graduate, these computer ratings are for Division I-A (what the NCAA now calls the Football Bowl (FB) Subdivision) and Division I-AA (what the NCAA now calls the Football Championship (FC) Subdivision) teams. . 145 after its opening loss) face off in week two. 57 after the loss. The home edge will vary during the season.

The first job for La Salle this year will be to score a touchdown, or any points, including a field goal or touchback. 143 after its opening loss) and Buffalo (ranked No. For Sagarin ratings and more detailed information go to: www.usatoday.com

La Salle lost its home opener to Ursinus 28-0. Both teams are among the 7 worst Division I-A teams in the country, joining Louisiana-Monroe, Rice, Duke, Utah State and Florida International.

Folks in the gaming business know that more than a billion dollars is wagered on every Monday Night Football game during the season.

4) Wyoming, a small school and never among the nation’s top teams, was ranked No

Entries in long-hidden notebook show Pete Rose bet on baseball as player

One Executive Tools Spiral Notebook.” Two small boxes of other items confiscated in the postal raid on Bertolini’s house went too, including autographed baseballs and baseball cards.

“The implications for baseball are terrible. “We didn’t know anything about Bertolini or his connection [to Rose].”

But new documents obtained by Outside the Lines indicate Rose bet extensively on baseball — and on the  Cincinnati Reds – as he racked up the last hits of a record-smashing career in 1986. He placed his financial interest ahead of the Reds, period.”

Bertolini offered his take on the raid during his sentencing hearing in U.S. He refused to give them to us,” Dowd said. Postal Inspection Service in October 1989, nearly two months after Rose was declared permanently ineligible by Major League Baseball. That came during his worst week of the four-month span, when he lost $25,500.

“It was a mere ‘failure to render [services]‘ complaint,” said Barney, who is now retired. Dowd and his team had sworn testimony from bookie Ron Peters that Rose bet on the Reds from 1984 through 1986, but not written documentation. They provide a vivid snapshot of how extensive Rose’s betting life was in 1986:

It was immediately clear that the many notations of “PETE” in the pages represented Pete Rose.

Dowd, who reviewed the documents at Outside the Lines’ request, said his investigators had tried but failed to obtain Bertolini’s records, believing they would be the final piece in their case that Rose was betting with mob-connected bookmakers in New York. Their authenticity has been verified by two people who took part in the raid, which was part of a mail fraud investigation and unrelated to gambling. There was stuff everywhere,” Barney said.

In April, Outside the Lines examined the Bertolini memorabilia kept in the National Archives’ New York office, but the betting book — held apart from everything else — was off-limits. We tried to get them. It’s impossible to count the exact number of times he bet on baseball games because not every day’s entries are legible.

But Rose’s supporters have based part of their case for his reinstatement on his claim that he never bet while he was a player or against his team, saying that sins he committed as a manager shouldn’t diminish what he did as a player.

o Most bets, regardless of sport, were about $2,000. It’s another device by Pete to try to excuse what he did,” Dowd said. In March of this year, he applied to Manfred for reinstatement. There was a for sale sign out front, the agent told him. “He’s a liar.”

Yes, he admitted in 2004, after almost 15 years of denials, he had placed bets on baseball, but he insisted it was only as a manager.

The documents are copies of pages from a notebook seized from the home of former Rose associate Michael Bertolini during a raid by the U.S. Under MLB Rule 21, “Any player, umpire, or club or league official or employee, who shall bet any sum whatsoever upon any baseball game in connection with which the bettor has a duty to perform shall be declared permanently ineligible.”

“The rule says, if you bet, it doesn’t say for or against. And, of course, [Rose] betting while he was a player.”

The timing for Rose, who played in 72 games in 1986, isn’t great. “This is the final piece of the puzzle on a New York betting operation with organized crime. The largest single bet was $5,500 on the Boston Celtics, a bet he lost.

When the case began, it didn’t look particularly enticing, Barney said. “[Ohio bookie] Ron Peters is a golf pro, so he’s got other occupations. That gave them probable cause to seek a search warrant.

“This does it. Dowd’s investigation had established that Rose was hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt at the time he was banished from the game.

Dowd said he wished he’d had the Bertolini notebook in 1989, but he didn’t need it to justify Rose’s banishment. This closes the door,” said John Dowd, the former federal prosecutor who led MLB’s investigation.

If the accusation was true, it would constitute mail fraud, but the agents had no probable cause to search Bertolini’s house.

“I got a call at the place where I was working at the time from my brother, and he says, ‘You should come home.’ He said, ‘There’s a bunch of government people here, and they’re here for you.’ At the time, I think it was Mary Flynn of the postal inspector’s office who got on the phone and said, ‘We’re here,’ and she told me why and so forth. [The mob] had a mortgage on Pete while he was a player and manager.”

o In the time covered in the notebook, from March through July, Rose bet on at least one MLB team on 30 different days. Attorney’s Office internal memorandum from 2000 that requested the spiral notebook’s transfer said Bertolini’s closed file has “sufficient historical or other value to warrant its continued preservation by the United States Government.” The memorandum listed among its attachments a copy of the notebook, but a copy of the memorandum provided by the National Archives had no attachments and had a section redacted.

Although the 1989 raid on Bertolini’s house received immediate news coverage, nothing about a betting book became public for five years. So Barney and Flynn, posing as a couple looking for a home, called a real estate agent and were given a guided tour of Bertolini’s house. After Bertolini pleaded guilty and received a federal prison sentence, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, ESPN and other news organizations filed freedom of information requests with the U.S. 13, a few days after the undercover house tour and after obtaining a search warrant, they searched Bertolini’s home and found evidence that would lead to numerous convictions. Dowd also had testimony and a recorded phone conversation between Bertolini and another Rose associate, Paul Janszen, that established

Should College Football Be Eliminated?

Additionally, young athletes might have to go directly to the professional level, rather than attending college and earning degrees. Although this incident might not have been directly related to college football in general, it brought the media’s attention to the existence of college football programs, and created space to discuss the pros and cons of these programs.

One of the scandalous elements of the Penn State affair was the role of head coach Joe Paterno. Universities promote their football programs in order to protect this revenue source–so much so, that some colleges are known more for their football programs than for their academic programs. Paterno was fired and died of lung cancer soon after. Some people say that, in schools with large football programs, coaches are overpaid, and have too much influence over what goes on at the schools. Many college football players go on to join the NFL, and football provides a way for students, staff, and alumni, to express their school pride, and to connect with the campus community.

Despite this long-standing tradition, some people are opposed to college football, and think it should be banned. Bissinger

The Penn State Scandal

The arguments in favor of banning football are widely varied, but they came to light after several college football related scandals, including the Penn State child sex abuse scandal. Even Jack Kerouac, the famous Beat Generation writer of On the Road and The Dharma Bums, played football at Columbia University, before dropping out. If these sports programs can’t be scaled back to a more appropriate level, perhaps they should be eliminated altogether.

Do We Foresee a Ban in the Near Future?. Bigger sports, like football and basketball, seem to be in a league of their own. This incident caused some people to question the large amount of power football coaches have at many American universities. Amidst rising concern about player safety and the recent spate of scandals, these voices seem to be getting stronger by the day.

In more than 20 years I’ve spent studying the issue, I have yet to hear a convincing argument that college football has anything do with what is presumably the primary purpose of higher education: academics.

–H.G. Some people argue that this is counter to the purpose and intent of the university system. Some people accused Paterno of sheltering Sandusky from punishment, claiming that he and other high-level university officials knew about the illicit behavior, and did nothing. That’s why, the sport is so popular at the college level, which is why it is such a big money-maker for universities. This would probably not be an improvement in the lives of professional football players.

Overall, it seems unlikely that college football is going away any time soon, but the issue might force us to think about the ways that college athletic departments could be improved.

Football and Funding

The issue of money extends beyond just the salaries of college football coaches. Even people with no ties to universities are interested in college football, and consider it a favorite pastime. This is one argument in favor of banning college football.

Why Should College Football be Eliminated?

Of course, banning college football is probably not a very popular idea among the general public. They serve mainly as extracurricular activities for students, and foster healthy intercollegiate competition. Millions of people would be sorely disappointed if college football went away. For many universities, football is an important source of revenue, and helps them maintain state-of-the-art facilities, updated buildings, and well-kept grounds. They have gone beyond extracurricular, and have become a sort of secondary function of their own. College football is a time-honored American tradition. Universities should be focusing on academics and education, instead of sports, some say.

Other College Sports

Many of the arguments supporting the abolition of college football could also be applied to other sports at the college level. Then-assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was accused in 2011 of having sexually abused several young boys. Some athletic programs are relatively small, and do not have a large impact on how universities function

Predict Football Score Predictions – How to Correctly Predict Outcome of Football Matches and Win Your Football Bet

As the saying goes, the ball is round, and there are factors in every game that can tilt the balance and the score line in an instant, so to regularly hit results perfectly in prediction football is certainly not possible. Predict Football Score Predictions

So, how does the small percentage of big winners manage to win their football bets over and over?

The secret lies in their systematic approach to betting on football.

Sports books determine football handicaps and odds based on a number of data which they have collected over the years, therefore, while most people think that they can perfectly master the skill of prediction football just by understanding the sport itself, only a very small number of people who bet on football manage to win money consistently. While a lot of people out there argue that football betting is won on factors like “gut feel”, “luck” and “experience”, the biggest winners that consistently make tons of money betting on football are still the ones who go about their “investments” in a scientific and systematic manner.. Predict Football Score Predictions

The key to their success, is in the systems which they use to know which bets are worth placing. If you are serious about making money from football betting, then I say you join them and get yourself a profitable system right away. These experts realize something that most people do not, and that is, prediction football do not need to be accurate to the extremes with match results, but all they need is a prediction football system to tell them whether their bets have a good enough opportunity to beat the sports books’ handicap.

“What’s happened is that students and alums who traditionally have been the fans aren’t interested in losing teams.”

“You want your students to attend the games, because they become a fan for life,” said Bob Vecchione, executive director of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.

Fans increasingly want to be connected to the Internet to follow other games and comment on the one they are watching, experts said. The school responded in part this year by upgrading its stadium’s video displays and cellular phone coverage.

ATTENDANCE SLIDES. That’s easier done at home, in a bar or a fraternity house, than in a stadium.

RICH GET RICHER

Figures from the National Collegiate Athletic Association, which oversees college sports, show the number of fans going to games has been sliding for several years. Per-game attendance in the NCAA’s Division I, which groups the biggest schools, fell to 28,427 last season, down 3.5 percent from 2008.

WASHINGTON As the 2014 U.S. This year, students who stayed to the end of the first game, a 58-13 win over University of Nevada-Los Vegas, were eligible to win a flat-screen TV, Sharpe said.

Those polled estimated that 35 percent of fans at football or basketball games followed the game on their smartphones, and expected that percentage to double in three years.

But for Maryland student Francoise Douala, 20, of Baltimore, football games are take-it-or-leave-it social events.

Even as the value of television contracts and merchandise sales soars for top teams, university administrators sweat the empty seats, given that ticket sales are still the top revenue generator for college sports.

They are turning to cash prizes, better Internet access in stadiums, improved scoreboards and fan focus groups as they fight to cling on to their share of an increasingly saturated U.S. Season ticket sales are up by about 25 percent, and sellouts are expected for games with Ohio State and Michigan State, said Zachary Bolno, a senior associate athletics director.

“We do know that the ability to tweet, Instagram, text – those things were important to people that are attending these games,” said Jeremy Sharpe, an associate athletic director at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

“I don’t really understand football unless someone’s making a touchdown,” she said. sports market.

At the University of Maryland, game-day attendance sagged 14 percent last year from 2008 as the Terrapins posted an overall losing record. college football season kicks off, athletic departments face one big worry – that fans of one of the nation’s most popular sports are watching it from sofas or bars, rather than filling stadiums.

Attendance at Arizona games has fallen 9 percent from 2008, even as the Wildcats posted a winning record over those six seasons. The school has now upgraded cellular phone service at Arizona Stadium and enhanced its video screen display, Sharpe said.

For Division I’s powerhouse Football Bowl Subdivision, whose 127 schools enjoy billions of dollars in long-term television contracts, attendance dropped to 45,192 per game last year, a decline of almost 3 percent over six seasons.

Dwindling attendance is inevitable as winning programs get more ticket and television money, and weaker schools fall further behind, said Andrew Zimbalist, a sports economist at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.

In 2013, Arizona gave out cash prizes to students in its rooting section who stayed for entire games.

“You can’t just rely on, ‘We are the University of X, Y and Z and our football team is playing today’ and fill up” stadiums, said Haynes Hendrickson, president of Turnkey Intelligence, a sports marketing firm in Haddonfield, New Jersey.

“It’s just going to be much, much more difficult for any of the bottom-tier schools to rise up and be competitive,” he said. “It’s like, ‘Okay, we won, I could have read that online after the game.’”

Ninety-four percent of athletic directors and other college sports professionals polled by Mortenson Construction Co of Minneapolis in 2013 said their stadiums now had WiFi access for fans, or would have it in two or three years. Falling attendance among students is a special warning sign for college football since undergraduates who skip games are unlikely to become season-ticket holders after they graduate, experts said.

Attendance got a boost in 2014 following Maryland’s switch to the Big 10 from the Atlantic Coast Conference

Ex-NBA star went from $108 million to bankruptcy

It’s sad to see other guys work so hard throughout their life — and then they just lose it in two or three years.”

That’s why Walker, now 38, is now working to steer young athletes away from the mistakes he made. Walker didn’t serve jail time due to a plea agreement, but the former NBA star was ordered to pay off gambling debts.

The hope is that these “real-life parables” from Walker and Scott will educate the younger athletes, Drew Hawkins, head of Morgan Stanley’s global sports and entertainment division, told CNNMoney.

Walker filed for bankruptcy in 2010.

Cars, jewelry and homes: As with many other sports stars, instant wealth meant instant luxury for Walker. “Be prepared to use that word a lot,” he said. Walker quickly became a basketball superstar. A year later he pleaded guilty to felony bad check charges, according to court filings.

Thanks to his on-the-court success, Walker made more money playing the sport he loved than he could even dream of when he grew up in a poor Chicago neighborhood. We had a ton of undeveloped real estate.

But like many professional athletes who experience a sudden explosion of wealth, it was all gone in an instant. “It ended up being an open ATM throughout my career.”

He also lost large sums of money gambling, although Walker insists this wasn’t the main cause of his financial collapse and that media reports are overblown. Despite pulling down more than $108 million during his career, Walker filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2010, just two years after retirement. That’s how you lose your wealth real bad at the beginning,” Walker said. “You can still enjoy your life to the fullest, but let’s preserve some of that wealth for your kids — and for their kids,” Walker said. He ended up being forced to pay back about $20 million to banks.

“These individuals are forced to make decisions as teenagers and these decisions impact them for a long time,” said Hawkins. “My story is sad. He’s working on “Gone in an Instant,” a documentary about his personal boom-to-bust tale.

“I thought I was set for the rest of my life,” Walker told CNNMoney.

But first Walker had to figure out how he went from fat NBA paychecks to financial rock bottom.

CNNMoney (New York) First published July 24, 2015: 9:29 AM ET

Before the age of 20, he had won the NCAA basketball championship and was selected by the Boston Celtics as a top pick in the 1996 NBA Draft.

Advice for today’s stars: Walker has two simple pieces of advice he hopes the younger generate walks away with. Walker and former NFL linebacker Bart Scott recently teamed up with Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment to bring real-life lessons to today’s players.

“I created a very expensive lifestyle.

“We got caught in the recession.

2) Think about the future, not just the here and now. You can’t do that,” Walker said. He estimates he helped about 30 people move to “better situations.” He gave cash to many of them — often without holding them accountable. The economic chaos caused the implosion of Walker Ventures, his Chicago real estate firm.

As part of his gig with Morgan Stanley, Walker recently spoke to athletes at Boston College and the Seattle Seahawks about his mistakes.

Real estate firm goes bust: The real catalyst, Walker said, was the Great Recession. It went bad.

1) Get the word “no” in your vocabulary when dealing with friends and family.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Walker had unwisely put up his personal financial portfolio as collateral.

“I gave them whatever they wanted and spoiled them. He was named to the All-Star team three times and won the top prize in pro basketball with the Miami Heat in 2006. Instead of thinking about the future, he spent lavishly on cars, jewelry and homes.

But with the advent of legal online betting, offshore companies not only take bets on who will win but on who will be nominated.

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) — Las Vegas has been disseminating odds on who will win Oscars for years, though actual betting on the outcome of the annual Academy Awards contest isn’t allowed there.

.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) will announce the nominations for the 76th Academy Awards on January 27, 2004.

You can even bet on whether the movie gets more or fewer than 9.5 Oscar nominations.

This year’s overwhelming favorite for a best picture nomination is “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” according to odds posted at http://www.BetWWTS.com. But the Academy Awards garner about 1,500 bettors each year.

“Invariably, we’re the first to get odds up, and invariably, we offer the biggest selection of bets,” said Stuart Doyle, chief betting officer at BetWWTS.com, an Antigua-based firm that takes primarily sports bets.

Rounding out the field of favorites for a best picture nomination are, in order, “Mystic River,” “Cold Mountain,” “Big Fish” and “House of Sand and Fog.”

In fact, BetWWTS.com also is offering a whole slew of wagers surrounding Wednesday’s opening of “The Return of the King.” The over-under for the film’s three-day opening, for example, is $65 million, and it’s heavily favored to beat the five-day opening tally of slightly more than $102 million for its predecessor, “The Two Towers.”

Follow the news that matters to you. It’s such a lock, in fact, that a bettor will win a scant $1 for each $20 wagered if the film is nominated.

Elijah Wood has played Frodo Baggins in all three “Lord of the Rings” films. The final chapter in the trilogy is due December 17.

Doyle said the site boasts only about 50 users who regularly bet on movie box office performances each week, making that aspect of its business more an attention getter than a profit center. Create your own alert to be notified on topics you’re interested in.
